TSNs Jack Armstrong offers his thoughts on the mess that is the Cavaliers, the surprising Hassan Whitehead, the emergence of Rudy Gobert, the resurgence of former Raptor Kris Humphries and the streaking Hawks. 1. CAVALIERS: At 19-20, theyre a mess. Watched the game Tuesday night vs. Phoenix and their defence was poor (107 points and 52 per cent for Suns). Where is the high level play from Kyrie Irving and LeBron James (13 turnovers!)? Kevin Love looks like a man thats wondering what he got himself into. Coach David Blatt is in a tough spot. Id rent and not buy. Team looks like a rudderless ship. Better fix soon. They made two trades last week and theyre trying to be all in but dont look like a team that is - yet. 2. HASSAN WHITEHEAD (Heat): The big fella has been a pleasant surprise for Miami this month, averaging 14.6ppg and 9.8rpg while getting 3.6 blocks per game. Impressive. Has brought a terrific energy level and interior toughness to their club. In a season filled with frustration, a sudden bright spot. 3. RUDY GOBERT (Jazz): Mentioned this a while back that I loved this kids potential and, if you were a contending team, to make a run at him before he got more playing time and showed what he could do. Too late now. Would have been a steal for someone. The Jazz have finally figured out that hes a keeper. Tuesday night vs. the Warriors -- 16 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. He can play. With Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter along with him, theyve got a sound, young frontcourt. 4. KRIS HUMPHRIES (Wizards): The former Raptor has done a nice job in DC filling in off the bench, averaging 8ppg and 6rpg. Has finally figured out what he can and cant do as a pro and brings energy and toughness each game. Has been able to carve out a good niche because the light has gone on. Good guy -- happy for him. 5. ATLANTA HAWKS: Another easy W @ Philly Tuesday night. Jeff Teague, Paul Millsap and DeMarre Carroll all get a maintenance night off (Raptors Kyle Lowry looks like a man that needs one of them -- looks like hes wearing down) and they keep rolling with 105 points and an amazing 34 assists. Their defence is equally impressive, holding the 76ers to 87 points on 40 per cent shooting while forcing 18 turnovers. This team is so well coached in every respect. Raptors will have their hands totally full on Friday night, in spite of the fact that theyre 2-0 against them this year. This club is SO much better than the team Toronto faced earlier in the season and the Raps have slipped on a number of fronts. Should be fun. Raps have to get by Philly first and considering the way theyve been playing of late, they cant look past anyone. Need DeMar De Rozan in so many ways. 12-9 without him was solid. Time to crank it up again and improve. Jorge Alfaro Jersey .com) - The Grand Slam season will get underway Monday at the Australian Open in Melbourne, where a new champion will be crowned this year. Aaron Nola Jersey . Patton told The Baltimore Sun that he took an Adderall pill four days before the season finished, trying to improve his short-term focus. "I took one because I was stupid," Patton told The Sun. http://www.philliesrookiestore.com/Phillies-Scott-Kingery-Kids-Jersey/ .Shipulin pulled away from Martin Fourcade of France, Simon Eder of Austria and Fredrik Lindstrom of Sweden to finish in 35 minutes 16.8 seconds. Fourcade was 1.2 seconds back in second place to reclaim the overall World Cup lead, with Eder another 0. Dave Hollins Jersey . It was a move of some time in the making. “He hasnt thrown well, clearly some guys are being used more than him right now and the only way to get out of this funk is to pitch,” said general manager Alex Anthopoulos. Rhys Hoskins Jersey . - Derek Wolfe says hes finally healthy after suffering a seizure in November that doctors now believe was related to the spinal cord injury he suffered in the preseason. DUNEDIN, Fla. -- Brandon Morrow allowed five runs and six hits over three innings in the Toronto Blue Jays 6-4 loss Wednesday to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Morrow was making his second appearance since a season-ending forearm injury last May. On Feb. 28, the right-hander gave up two hits and one run in two relief innings. "The important thing, I felt good again," Morrow said. "Forearm is feeling really good. I felt loose again. I felt good with my breaking stuff. Fastball command kind of put me in a hole a couple times." Morrow struck out two, walked one, hit a batter and threw a wild pitch. "Hes big," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "In a lot of ways hes probably the most important guy, because we expected a lot out of him last year. Hes got as good an arm as anybody. When hes on, when hes healthy, hes been a good big league pitcher. If he can fill that void, bounce back and have a full season out there where he doesnt go on the DL and you get his 30-plus starts, that will be big for us." Travis Snider had a first-inning RBI single and a two-run homer in the third off Morrow. Snider spent time on the disabled list last season with a left big toe injury. "Travis worked extremely hard this winter," Pittsburgh manager Clint Hurdle said. "Hes moving so much better. Now thats he healthy and physically ready to go, well see where he can take us." Edwin Encarnacion had a two-run double for the Blue Jays. STARTING TIME Blue Jays: Mark Buehrle will go against Pitttsburghs Gerrit Cole when the two teams play again Thursday in Bradenton.dddddddddddd Pirates: Jeff Locke was scratched from his start because of right side tightness. The Pirates believe the injury is a minor one. Locke gave up one hit in two scoreless innings last Thursday against the New York Yankees. The left-hander won eight straight starts in the first half of last season and made the NL All-Star team. But, he went 2-5 with a 6.12 ERA over his final 12 starts and was shut down in September. Jay Jackson, who filled in for Locke, gave up one hit in two scoreless innings. The 26-year old right-hander, signed to a minor league contract in December, pitched at Double-A and Triple-A for Miami last year. Pittsburgh starters have not allowed an earned run in five consecutive games, a span of 10 innings. TRAINERS ROOM Blue Jays: Closer Casey Janssen, out with a sore right shoulder, played catch for the second straight day. Outfielder Colby Rasmus sat out his fourth consecutive game due to a stiff neck. REASSIGNMENTS The Blue Jays sent right-hander Tomo Ohka, left-hander Juan Perez, and catchers Derrick Chung and Jack Murphy to their minor league camp this week. Ohka, who last pitched in the major leagues in 2009, agreed to a minor league contract with the Blue Jays in December. The 37-year-old was 51-68 for Boston (1999-01), Montreal (2001-04), Washington (2005), Milwaukee (2005-06), Toronto (2007) and Cleveland (2009). He has played in Japan for Yokohama (1995-98 and 2010-11) and Toyama (2013).
